Mandi’s Panchvaktra Temple has been submerged in water due to a spate in the Beas River following incessant heavy rainfall on July 9. Bharatiya Janata Party leader and former Himachal Pradesh CM Jairam Thakur visited Mandi to review the situation as the district is ravaged by flash floods and landslides following incessant rainfall in the state. Speaking on the same, Jairam Thakur said that no one witnessed such a situation in the last 60 years, hence, he extends full cooperation to the present government in the rescue operation He said, “No one has seen such a situation in the last 60 years. This time there has been a huge loss in Himachal Pradesh during the rainy season. The trapped people are being rescued. We are extending full cooperation to the present government in the rescue operation.”
